Miike

I grant you that it was badly put, but I read that post as America deserves what it gets, not that the victims deserved it.

I'm not sure I even agree with the sentiment of the more palatable interpretation, but I don't think 2LF was being deliberately cuntish on this occasion.

It's very unfortunate for those that died, but I'm sure amongst them were people who firmly believed that guns made them safer.

Until they realise the damage they're doing to themselves and the rest of the Americas with a cache of 300 million guns next door they're going to see this again and again, and frankly as a nation they deserve it.

" as a nation they deserve it " ? Really Gavros or are you just attention seeking again ?

As a nation they seeem to accept these cullings as a price worth paying for unconstrained gun owning liberties.

Yes.

You pointedly and consistently fail to stop something happening that kills innocent people. You deserve what you get.

US gun laws are ridiculous.
My ex brother in law worked in and hunting and fishing store and the stuff you could buy on the spot was outrageous. Visited him in the shop and there were a couple (both decked out in full camo gear) buying themselves his and hers Heckler and Koch smgs apparently for hunting.
The stuff they had on display at the gun counter included a rack of AK47s, AR15s and even a bren gun.

TeVaz 12:58 Mon Oct 2
Re: Las Vegas shooting
I think we all agree that the gun laws in America are absolutely crazy , but no one , innocently going about their daily business , if they agree with the laws or not , deserves this .
Yes , making guns legal makes it easier but please don't say anyone deserves it !

'It's very unfortunate for those that died, but I'm sure amongst them were people who firmly believed that guns made them safer. '

I'm sure you're right. But the only possible inference I can draw from your post is that you think their holding this possibly mistaken view means they deserved to die.

perhaps there is some other inference I have missed. If not, you truly are a complete cunt.

Re: Las Vegas shooting
Of course no one dwarves to be shot dead, regardless of their views.

However as a county their cowardice to adress the subject means they will be damnded to see this happen again and again.

Even the most simple laws - curtailing access to automatic weapons, background checks, tiles on storing guns - would save thousands of lives and still allow then to keep their beloved guns. Switzerland has high gun ownership because they are taught how to use them and have rules and regulations in place to stop a nutter getting his hands on them.

I guess they think it's the price of 'freedom'

Pundits on CNN talking about security checks at hotels, restricting open air public events. How about banning massive assault weapons.

Then one wonders why you mentioned it.

Re: Las Vegas shooting
As far as I understand it the idea of owning a gun means you can protect yourself. Clearly this doesn't work well when a nutter with a machine gun is shooting at you from a hotel at night during a pop concert.
Its impossible to imagine the mind of anyone who does this. What kind of society creates a mind that does that?

Apparently, the availability of assault rifles in the US is irrelevant. It's the nutcase on the end of it that''s the problem.

That tends to suggest that no-one in the US thinks they have any nutcases at all.
